These are the main takeaways from week 1 – Bears vs Packers:
1. Aaron Rodgers looked rusty. He completed 18 of 30 passes for 203 yards, however, the Packers investment in defense is paying dividends already. For the first time in MANY years, the game didn’t depend on Aaron Rodgers arm but instead, the Green Bay Packers can thank their defensive unit for the WIN.
2. Don’t count Mitch Trubisky out just yet. It is difficult to play offense of football early in the season and responsibility needs to be spread around. Trubisky didn’t have a good performance but nor did his wide receivers. The entire offense needs to step up, let’s watch a couple more games before counting anyone out.
Trubisky played poorly, no doubt about that but in reality, offense on both sides of the ball was BAD. For Week 2, Green Bay will receive the Minessota Vikings while Chicago will go on the road to visit the Denver Broncos.
