Saturday NFL Games
The Houston Texans (9-5) will get on the road to visit the Jameis Winston and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7).
The Texans are coming off a nice win over the Titans, while the Bucs are coming off a crushing win over the Detroit Lions.
No Playoff hopes for Tampa Bay, however, they continue to play tough football. The Texans on the flip side are very much alive. They can clinch the AFC South division title if any of the following scenarios happen:
- If they WIN against Tampa Bay
- If they TIE against Tampa Bay + Tennessee Ties vs the New Orleans Saints
- If Tennessee LOSSES against New Orleans
Lots of important injuries for the Bucs –wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, both out on Saturday– while the opposite situation happens for Houston, as JJ Watt is coming back to the Texans lineup.
Beyond being out of the playoffs, Tampa Bay has been tearing it up lately. They have won 5 of their last 6 games with Jameis Winston playing wonderfully. If only he would have done it the entire season!
The Buccaneers don’t have much to play for, but Winston is playing for job security. On the flip side, the Texans have a lot to play for, but they tend to be unpredictable. This is a tough game to predict, as both teams are inconsistent.
Take the points! Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 at home.
