For all of those wondering if Pat Mahomes is for real, and well, after watching him play in Week 1, I believe it’s safe to say yes, he is.

A banged-up Mahomes (sprained ankle), Sammy Watkins, and LeSean McCoy helped the Kansas City Chiefs take away their first WIN of the season. The Chiefs beat the Jacksonville Jaguars with a convincing 40-26. Let’s not forget the 40 points they put on the board were without Tyreek Hill for the majority of the game.

The Chiefs covered the point spread and had more to give.

On the flip side, the Jacksonville Jaguars took a beating, and to add insult to injury, the Jags lost their starting quarterback Nick Foles, who broke his left collar bone and won’t be able to play for almost the entire regular season. Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew will take his place.

Minshew threw 275 yards and scored two touchdowns, which makes you wonder about the Chiefs defensive unit, no offense to Gardner.

Next, the Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Oakland Raiders, and the Jags will visit the Houston Texans.
